From my experience, if you get into a relationship where you are not attracted to someone, you will probably never be attracted to that person, and the relationship will flop, and people will get hurt. It is much better to wait until you actually have an attraction before you get seriously involved. Remaining to just be friends is fine, too, but if it were me, I would make sure you still let each other know where you stand. One or both people may have ’hopes’ it will go further, and somebody could get hurt later. Two single, available people being ’friends’ can be a tricky deal.
